Art In Situ - Part I

Shipping out a sold painting can be bittersweet. After spending so much time with a particular piece, it can be tough to say goodbye to it. Yet, despite my attachment to the work - or perhaps because of it - when a work sells, I feel so proud to know that the work will be cherished. I’m thrilled that a piece I poured my time, energy, and love into will have an opportunity to make someone else happy.

For that reason, it’s always a thrill to receive an in situ photo of a work in its new home. It’s like getting a glimpse of an old, beloved friend, thriving in their new life. Here are just a few of my favorite in situ photos from the artwork sold these past seven months. I love to see them right where they were always meant to be.
