Art In Situ - Part III

It’s one thing to know that a painting you poured your heart into is going to a good home…it’s another thing to see it for yourself! I love receiving photos from collectors of their paintings installed in their homes. It’s so rewarding to see a painting of mine where it was always meant to be - in your home, spreading joy and a sense of peace with you and your loved ones every day.

Here are a few of my favorite in situ images from this year.

Already own an original piece? Send me a picture of your painting in its new home to be featured in the next installment of “Art in Situ.” I love to see how you make the work shine in your home.

This special piece, “Blue Ridge Dawn” found its perfect home in Roanoke, VA in this collector’s bright, beautiful bathroom.

This beach painting, “Sunrise Under Auburn Skies,” found its home in the mountains of Virginia, bringing the best of both worlds together. The colors in this bright, gorgeously decorated living room harmonize beautifully with the colors in the painting, bringing even greater warmth and sophistication to the space. I love how the blues in the painting correspond perfectly with the blue backsplash behind the fireplace.

The teal accent wall of this collector’s Iowa home is such a perfect backdrop for their new painting “Rhododendron Falls,” that it feels fated! The gorgeous reclaimed wood frame was even custom made by the collector, a talented woodworker behind the woodworking business, Zlab Wood. He even wood burned my name and the title of the piece into the side of the frame! How genius is that?

I just love this detail of wood burning an artists’ name and artwork title on the side of a floater frame. This custom frame was hand made by the collector, owner of Zlab Wood.

This special wedding portrait was an anniversary gift to the happy couple. It now hangs proudly in the bedroom of their new home together. Interested in commissioning a custom piece for yourself or someone you love? Send me a message and let’s talk about your vision!

I’m so flattered to have so many of my prints on display in this local collector’s home. This Salon-style gallery installation adorns this collector’s foyer, making these bright, cheerful pieces the first thing visitors see when entering her home.

On the top row from left to right are the works “The Governor’s Palace - Print,” “Linn Cove Viaduct Sunset - Print,” a custom pet portrait ornament, “Water Tower - Print,” and “Bruton Parish Chapel - Print.” On the bottom row are the works, “Rosy Glow on Grandfather - Print,” “Pilot Mountain Tulips - Print,” and “Winston Salem Dusk - Print.

Not all artwork needs to be hung! I love this unique display of the prints “Timpanogos Alpenglow - Print” and “Sundance Mountain - Print,” propped up in this Raleigh collector’s bright, spacious kitchen.

With prints, a gorgeous frame can make all the difference in the world. This clean, bright white frame gives this collector’s print, “Alpine Dreams - Print,” an especially classy, streamlined look.
