4 Bridges Arts Festival 2023 | Chattanooga, TN
Chattanooga has had a special place in my heart ever since I visited this artsy, outdoorsy town years ago. Between its gorgeous art museum along the water, its high quality rock climbing crags, its majestic waterfalls, and its cool, quirky downtown, it’s an outdoorsy artists’ dream town.
This made it all the more exciting to exhibit at the Association of Visual Artists’ annual 4 Bridges Arts Festival. Setting up my tent alongside some of the most talented artists in the Southeast, I realized what a true honor it was just to be accepted into this festival.
At the 4 Bridges Arts Festival, we were astounded by the talent from every artist and the quality of every booth display. Plus, the Association of Visual Artists were as hospitable as it gets, welcoming their artists and collectors alike with a warm reception, delicious food, drinks, and amenities galore.
This event proved to be one of our best yet and makes us all the more thrilled for our Spring season ahead. Eight original paintings sold, seven of which were from my brand new series, “Feelin’ Blue,” which was released on April 20th.
Only a few works from the new series are still available, so make sure to reserve your favorites before they’re on display again at our next event this weekend at the Magic City Arts Connection in Birmingham, Alabama. If your favorite pieces have already sold, check out the eight new signed, limited edition prints that were just released, some of which are of sold works.
Another one of the things I love about traveling for art fairs is getting to see the beauty of different places each season. I already knew of Chattanooga’s beauty, but experiencing it again this April is worth the trip in itself. Getting to camp in the crisp Spring air of the mountains makes art fair season makes art fair season all the more fun and adventurous for my husband and me.
This weekend in Chattanooga also marked one full year since my husband and I first started exhibiting at art fairs. Seeing how far our setup and my work has evolved since that first art fair fills me with such pride and excitement for the future.
One year ago today, I was hanging up my painting with zip-ties on DIY walls made from soccer nets at Art on the Square in Williamsburg, VA. I remember feeling so proud of how clean and streamlined my setup looked. Now, I look back at pictures and am struck by just how far we’ve come this year.
This Spring, we invested in ourselves with an updated booth setup, including a new ProPanel print display, sleek white track lighting, and a Flourish Display mesh panel French wall. If you’re not a fellow art fair exhibitor, perhaps that simply sounds like a string of nonsensical words, but like in any subculture, the more you dive in to a niche world, the more excited you get at those little details.
Personally, I’m overjoyed to get to share my new work in such a sleek, professional new environment. I hope to be able to offer my collectors a true gallery experience in right in their city with this new art fair tent setup.
Thank you so much to my new collectors in Chattanooga for welcoming my work into your beautiful homes and lives and thank you to the Association of Visual Artists for putting on one of the highest quality art fairs we’ve exhibited in yet! I hope to see you in Chattanooga next year or else somewhere on the road this year. Check out the Events calendar to see the full Spring lineup of art fairs, art markets, and artist residencies.
