Well, it’s official: this baby is good luck!

Thank you so much, Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce, for this Award of Distinction at Art in the Park in Blowing Rock, NC. I’m feeling so honored and encouraged by the recognition and reception my work has received this year. It’s been such a beautiful way to head into this next chapter of life.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by July’s Blowing Rock Art in the Park. Once again, we got lucky with gorgeous, sunny weather and blue bird skies to match the ones in my paintings. Between the weather, the soft blue hues of my sky paintings, the dreamy blue layers of my Blue Ridge Mountain paintings, and my own dress, I feel awash in baby blues. Would you believe me if I told you it was all subconscious? In fact, most of these paintings were complete before I even knew what gender baby we were having. Call it a mother’s intuition (or just call it my favorite color…)!

This month’s Art in the Park in Blowing Rock, NC was the perfect cap to my art fair season. Two Blue Ridge originals found their homes here in the Blue Ridge as well as most of the limited edition print collection. Although I now have no more events on the calendar, I still have one more month (give or take) to go before my sweet baby boy arrives, so I’ll be restocking prints, painting new pieces, and keeping the Shop open until then. In the meantime, you can find my entire limited edition print collection and all six remaining original works in the Shop now.

Plus, I’m excited to announce a new retail location for my work. Be sure to swing by FireLight Book and Candle, a beautiful new storefront in downtown Blowing Rock, NC, for my new “Blue Ridge Baby” mini paintings, a few of my larger original works, and several of my limited edition prints.
