Artsplosure 2024 | Raleigh, NC

Artsplosure in Raleigh, NC always has a way of feeling like a homecoming for me.

Growing up in Raleigh, I used to attend Artsplosure as a visitor and, when I was 16, I even won an award in Artsplosure’ High School Art Contest. More than a decade later, I was honored to be invited to be an exhibiting artist for the first time. 2022’s Artsplosure was my first ever big art fair, and it was such an incredible first experience that it’s a large part of what led me down the path I’m on now.

Now in 2024, I was honored to exhibit at Artsplosure once again. This time, my art fair booth looks quite a bit different than it did then. Sometimes we’re so busy living in the present and looking towards the future, that we forget to look back at how far we’ve come. Exhibiting at Artsplosure again gave me eye-opening insight into how much things have changed for me and my business:

How my body of work has grown and evolved, how my art fair setup has become more professional and streamlined, and how much I personally have even changed (hello, baby bump!).

Taking this moment to reflect on the changes of just a few years has filled me with such renewed gratitude and pride. Thank you all for supporting me and my work through this evolution. Without the love, encouragement, and sales from you all, I wouldn’t have had the means or the confidence to take my artwork and business where it’s gone.

Seeing the reception that my new work has received from so many new and returning collectors, I’m feeling all the more grateful for your continued support and the space and encouragement you’ve given me to continuously change and evolve.

At this year’s Artsplosure, six original works found their dream homes, along with more prints than I could have imagined (time to restock for my next show!). It was such a privilege to share in this special weekend with so many art lovers and to reunite with so many people who made up my past.

Plus, in a beautiful full-circle moment, I even ran into my elementary school art teacher, Mr. Bryant, and his family. Thank you to all the teachers out there who make more of a difference than you may ever know.

Thank you, sincerely, to everyone who came out to support local, emerging artists like myself. Every time you purchase from an artist, you support a dream…and now, you support a family of dreamers!

I hope to see you all again at one of this Spring and Summer’s art fairs. Next up: one of my favorite events of the year, the Sidewalk Art Show in Roanoke, VA on June 1-2nd. Check out my Events page to see the full calendar of upcoming events and the Shop to see all available new work and prints.
