RiverArtsFest 2023 | Memphis, TN
This past weekend’s RiverArtsFest in Memphis, Tennessee was the furthest from home we’ve traveled for an art fair, and what an adventure it was! Setting up along the Mississippi River with the aqua water at our backs and Beale Street a few blocks over, we felt like we were in a whole other world.
We were delighted by the beauty of the Mid-South and the high caliber art of the RiverArtsFest. Every artist at the show was of such quality, talent, and unique vision. It was a privilege just to be among them, let alone to make friends with and learn from them. Every time we travel for an art fair, we meet new artwork to love and new people to be inspired by.
In addition to the talented artists, the people of Memphis were so kind and enthusiastic about art. One of my favorite works from my new series, “Daydreams,” “Sweet Dreams” found its home here in Memphis, along with many limited edition prints.
While I don’t have any prints of my “Daydreams” series currently available, I will soon, so be sure to sign up for the Collector’s Club if you’re not already to receive exclusive first access to the new print release.
At RiverArtsFest, I also unveiled my latest - and largest ever - “Mountain Gold Vein IV.” This 36” x 48” mixed media work is a true show-stopper and is, happily, now available in the Shop.
Thank you so much to our new Memphis collectors for such a fun, adventurous weekend.
Afterwards, we even had a chance to stop by the jaw-dropping Bass Pro Shop pyramid right along the waterfront . Inside it was fun and kitschy and awe-inspiring in the best way. Outside, at the top of the pyramid, we were greeted with the breathtaking panoramic views on the sky bridge, overlooking the city and the Mississippi River. It was such a unique experience we won’t forget soon.
On our Memphis trip, we camped each night in our A-frame pop up and discovered so many great new campsites, hiking trails, fun places, and beautiful views. In the Tennessee mountains, we hiked through peak fall foliage, across sweeping mountain vistas and waterfalls. During the art fair, we camped in a gorgeous campsite outside of a beautiful little cotton farm in Arkansas, under the crescent moon. This weekend (more like weeklong weekend) turned into a mini vacation for our little family, and what better way to vacation than with fine art and beautiful nature?
We only have two more events in our Fall art fair schedule before the holiday season begins, so check out the Events page to see more about the Ardmore Art Walk in Winston Salem, NC and the MBA Art Show in Nashville, TN. I’ll be painting up a storm and reliving these beautiful moments until then!
