Sidewalk Art Show 2024 | Roanoke, VA
The Sidewalk Art Show in Roanoke, VA is consistently one of our favorite events of the year, and for good reason. The Taubman Museum of Art in this beautiful mountain city hosts one of the most fun, uplifting art fairs we’ve had the honor to exhibit in.
This is my third time exhibiting at this event (the first event that I’ve exhibited in three times now), and each time gets better and better as I see more and more familiar faces. The people here in Roanoke are always so kind, friendly, and welcoming, and it’s such a delight to strengthen those connections year after year.
This year, my booth and style looked quite different from previous years, so I was excited to see and hear how much people responded to the work. It was especially meaningful to see how my returning collectors have delighted in both my new and previous work and encouraged this evolution.
One of my personal favorite originals, “The Sun Also Rises” found its home here in Roanoke, leaving only four remaining works in the entire Celestial series! Find these works now in the Shop.
This Spring’s weekends have been rather rainy, but this year’s Sidewalk Art Show proved to be the exception. Saturday was gloriously sunny and Sunday stayed overcast the whole show. It was the perfect weekend for fine art shopping and downtown strolling.
Thanks to the crowds of fine art patrons out and about this weekend, I’m honored to have nearly sold out of the print inventory that we brought. Thank you so much for inviting more of my work into your homes.
This weekend was especially fun and meaningful because it gave us an opportunity to reunite with some of our very best art fair friends. The career path of an independent artist - especially an art fair artist - is so unique that connecting with kindred spirits on similar paths becomes incredibly essential and soul nourishing. I’m so very grateful for our growing art fair family. 🤍
Thank you, Roanoke, for another wonderful weekend at the Sidewalk Art Show. Every time we come up the mountain for this art fair, we’re reminded just how much we love this little mountain city. We’re already looking forward to next year - this time with our sweet little baby in tow!
I only have two more art events before my maternity leave, so if you’re hoping to see me and my work in person this season, I hope to see you at one of this summer’s Art in the Park events in Blowing Rock, NC.
